AUZ Furniture Purchase Tips

Ensure Your New Furniture Fits Perfectly in Your Home

Selecting the right furniture for your home can be a complex decision. The size of your home, the width of the hallways, and the dimensions of doorways, along with potential obstacles like narrow passageways, low ceilings, or enclosed staircases, can hinder your ability to bring your desired pieces indoors.

Before finalizing your purchase, please verify the clear dimensions of doors, staircases, elevators, and hallways. If the item ordered does not fit these areas, delivery and shipping fees are non-refundable. To avoid unnecessary hassle, we have prepared a detailed furniture buying guide that ensures you can successfully receive your items on delivery day.

Finding the right furniture for your home is as simple as following three straightforward steps.

Step 1: Confirm the dimensions of your new furniture before purchase.
Check the dimensions of the furniture listed on our link before purchasing and selecting your pieces, and consult with customer service if you have any doubt regarding furniture size. Knowing the dimensions of your new furniture will help determine if the item will fit in your home. Since our furniture is handcrafted, there may be a margin of error of 1-2 inches.

Measuring Your Furniture Space
Whether you are buying a dining table or any other furniture, ensure you meet all the following requirements:

The dimensions of the space where you plan to place your new furniture:
• Measure the widest point and the diagonal width of the space.
• Measure the height of the space.
• Measure the depth and the diagonal depth of the space.

Step 2: Measure the delivery path for your furniture.
Before delivery, you need to confirm that the furniture you purchased can pass through the path, including but not limited to, entrance passages, doors, enclosed staircases, elevators, and other areas en route to the final destination.

Measuring Your Entrances
• Measure the height and width of any doors, hallways, staircases, or elevators.
• Measure the entryway of any room through which the furniture will pass.
• Measure the height of ceilings in entryways, hallways, and the room where the item will be placed.

Step 3: Compare the dimensions of your new furniture with your home.
We understand that installing and arranging furniture requires careful consideration. Having measured the required dimensions for the space in Step 1, what we need to do now is ensure new furniture will have sufficient space around it, in relation to other furniture in the home. Considering this, you will have to measure carefully and estimate a size tolerance that allows your new furniture to balance with existing pieces, without damaging your home or other furnishings.

To assist in your estimation, we offer the following data for you to use as a reference.

1. The height, width, or depth (whichever is the smallest measurement) must be less than any of your doorway, hallway, or stairway width measurements.

Furniture Height, Width, or Depth ( ) < Doorway, Hallway, Stairway, Elevator

2.The furniture width (or height for tall pieces) must be less than your entryway access.
